Srinagar, June 04 (KNO): Amid continuous closure of educational institutions across the Union Territory, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Thursday said it has not taken any decision regarding the conduct of class 10th and 12th bi-annual examinations. Pertinently, the educational institutions including schools and colleges across Jammu and Kashmir are closed while all the examinations have been postponed so far by the authorities concerned. Taking exclusively to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Chairman JKBOSE, Veena Pandita said that they have not taken any decision regarding class 10th and 12th bi-annual examinations yet. “We will still wait for a month or two following which a decision would be taken in this regard,” she said, adding that it is not possible for the authorities to hold examinations at this point of time as saving precious live are more important and necessary than conducting examinations.”We can't risk the lives of students in this pandemic,” she said. However, the students scheduled to appear in class 10th and 12th examinations are up in arms against the administration for not conducting examinations since long. Syed Sahil, a student said that the CBSE has already issued datasheet for the pending papers but the JKBOSE is delaying the examinations to students, thus putting the career of students at stake. Meanwhile, the students here have demanded immediate conduct of examinations—(KNO)
